Referral Indicators

Two Years

Refer to Speech Pathologist if:

  • Child is not talking
  • Child is having  difficulty swallowing
  • Child is having frequent colds and ear infections.
  • Parents are concerned.

Refer to Occupational Therapist if:

  • Unable to walk independently.
  • Falls frequently/bumps into objects.
  • Does not show hand preference.
  • Cannot hold a cup/spoon - unable to drink from a cup.
  • Unable to pick up pins, shoelaces or small objects.
  • Unable to hold crayon between thumb and four other fingers.
