Self Help Skills

Opens door by turning handle.
Uses spoon (little spilling)
Takes off coat.
Washes and dries hands with assistance.

Social Development
Plays near other children.
Begins to play house.
Participates in simple group activity
Knows gender identity

Motor Development
Gross Motor

Runs forward.  Walks on tiptoes.
Jumps in place, two feet together.
Stands on one foot with aid.

Fine Motor

Turns single pages.  Snips with scissors.
Holds crayons with thumb and finger.

Cognitive Development
Matches and uses associated objects meaningfully - (cup and saucer)
Recognises self in mirror.
Has limited attention span.

Language Development

Expression
Speaks in 3-4 word sentences eg. "Daddy go to work"
Uses some word endings eg. "cats, walked."
Uses language to tell stories and ask questions.

Comprehension
Understands 2-3 colours.
Understands the use of objects eg. "The one you eat with - spoon"
Follows directions eg. "Put the block under the chair.
