Gross Motor

Walks backward.

Walks up and down stairs alone, alternating feet.

Fine Motor

Copies square and cross.
Cuts on line continuously.
Prints a few capital letters.

Cognitive Development
Names 4-6 colours.
Rote counts to 5.
Draws a person with 2-6 recognisable parts.

Language Development

Comprehension
Follows 3 stage command eg. "Stand up, rub your tummy and clap."
Knows simple opposites eg. Big - little, hard - soft.
Listens to long stories.
Incorporates verbal directions into play activities.

Expression
Uses 5-6 word sentences.
Talks about present, past and future events.
Explains why something happens.
Talks about objects by their use eg. "you eat with a fork"
Speech is easy to understand.
Talks about causality by using "because" and "so".
